Our Policies

Allied
Access, Inc. maintains comprehensive customer records. These
records contain billing information, home addresses, phone
numbers, usernames and e-mail addresses. This information is
required so that we may properly invoice our members. Allied
Access, Inc. stores this information securely, both on paper, and
on a computer that is separate from our AAi servers. This
information is protected from intrusion or theft. Allied Access,
Inc. considers this information highly confidential, and under no
circumstances do we sell or freely divulge this
material.
Terms of
Service
Billing Policies
Allied Access, Inc. services are
billed via E-Statements on the first of the month, in advance of usage,
similar to other utilities. Payments are due by the 15th of that
month, and considered late after the 16th of the month. A late
fee may be imposed after the 16th of the month. Access
charges begin on the day the account is opened -- when a member
picks a username and password -- NOT when first used. In the
event that computer problems prevent a member from using the
account, it is the member's responsibility to notify the billing
department and request suspension or cancellation of the account.
Allied Access, Inc. accounts are billed at a flat rate for
unlimited usage. Accounts will continue to be billed, whether
used or not, until the member cancels the account. Allied Access,
Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any
time. Allied Access, Inc. will also charge $25.00 for every
returned check or credit card chargeback.
Credit Cards
Allied Access, Inc. accepts Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Accounts are billed
the full amount due on the 1st of each month.
Optional Billing
Though Allied Access, Inc. bills
with E-Statements, we will be happy to provide regular mail
billing for both home and business customers. All accounts are
due by the 15th, and are considered delinquent on the 16th. There
is an additional $1.00 charge per month for this service. We
accept Personal and Business Checks, cash and money orders.
Payments can be sent regular mail, or can be dropped off at our
offices, 909 Chestnut, Murphysboro, Il. 62966. Please include
your Customer ID on your payment.
Account Requirements
(a.) Allied Access, Inc. does not
provide service directly to minors. The difficulty in recovering
losses from delinquent minor accounts precludes Allied Access,
Inc. from offering service to individuals less than eighteen (18)
years of age. If a minor requires Internet access, it is
recommended that the parents or guardians of the minor set up an
account with Allied Access, Inc. In no way are minors restricted
from using our service, they simply cannot be the account holder.
Allied Access, Inc. recommends that parents use caution, and
supervise their children while they surf the 'net.
(b.) Allied Access, Inc. chooses
to not provide access to anonymous individuals. We must have the
true and correct name of all subscribers when they sign up for
service. To this end, Allied Access, Inc. requires that all
members either pay for services with a major credit card, or if
electing to pay by cash or check, to present a valid Driver's
License, Military Identification Card, State-Issued
Identification Card, or Passport. Use of nicknames or other
"handles" while on the Internet is in no way
restricted. Allied Access, Inc. requires positive identification
of our members for the sole reason to protect the company and its
services from the risks of doing business with unknown
individuals.
Account Cancellation
A written cancellation request
containing member's name, username or e-mail address, and
signature is required. The purpose of this document is to ensure
that the cancellation request is being made by the owner of the
account and that the person presenting it is entitled to request
the cancellation. Members may terminate their accounts at any
time, however, no refunds will be made for unused services. We do
not prorate the final month or unused service, and all
cancellations are effective at the end of the month that the
written cancellation is received. Cancellation requests may be
mailed (USPS), or delivered to the office. Allied Access, Inc.
cannot accept cancellation by phone, or via e-mail due to the
ease of forging e-mail headers.
Content
Allied Access, Inc.does not
exercise any control over the content that members may access via
our systems. Members are expected to take responsibility for
their actions on our system or on systems accessed through Allied
Access, Inc. Members are expected to abide by all posted Usage
Agreements on systems they access through Allied Access, Inc. If
a member accesses material that they find offensive, they are
expected to avoid the offensive material. Members are expected to
take full responsibility for statements made in e-mail, chat
rooms, USENET postings, and web pages. We reserve the right to
suspend account usage at any time. Allied Access, Inc. is not
responsible for the accuracy or validity of any information
received through the service. Member agrees to indemnify and hold
harmless Allied Access, Inc. from any damage claims resulting
from use of our services.
Security
Allied Access, Inc. strives to
maintain the security and integrity of our systems. Members are
expected to take responsibility for the security of their own
systems. This includes (as needed) critical updates to installed
operating system (OS), regular updates to virus software. Members

Adware. Third Party software can assist you with your efforts.

Lawful Usage
Allied Access, Inc. systems may
not be used for any unlawful purpose. Transmission of any
material that is in violation of any local, state or federal laws
may result in immediate termination of the offending member's
account. This includes copyrighted material, material judged
legally to be obscene or threatening, or material protected by
trade secret. The advertisement for, distribution of, or trading
of illegally copied software, or any other copyrighted material
is expressly prohibited, unless permission is established in
writing and in advance from the copyright holder.
Unauthorized Usage
Any unauthorized attempt to access
systems or records, or to modify system information, whether on
Allied Access, Inc. systems or another system, will result in the
suspension of member access. Unauthorized activities include:
using passwords other than those assigned to you, guessing at
passwords, accessing private information, accessing any system to
which the member is not welcome. Allied Access, Inc. fully
prosecutes any unauthorized usage or theft of services.
Unsolicited Commercial
Email (UCE) or "SPAM"
(a.) Allied
Access, Inc. has a "Zero Tolerance" policy regarding
Unsolicited Commercial or Bulk E-mail. Allied Access, Inc.
considers UCE/UBE, as well as Excessive Cross-Posting (ECP) to
newsgroups, to be detrimental to the Internet community in
general and damaging to Allied Access, Inc. systems in
particular. Unlike traditional (snail-mail) bulk mailings, where
the primary cost of distribution is borne by the sender, UCE/UBE
puts the burden of cost on the recipient. This will remain true
as long as it remains free to send an e-mail message.
(b.) Allied
Access, Inc. strives to remain a responsible 'Net citizen',
and as such we will act swiftly and decisively to prevent UCE/UBE
from originating from our server. Many people do not realize what
can happen if an ISP allows UCE/UBE to originate from their
servers. Many ISPs and domains block ALL mail from servers that
are notorious for allowing UCE/UBE to originate there. If this
happens, none of the mail sent from Allied Access, Inc. to that
blocked server can get through. This results in an unsatisfactory
condition for the rest of our customers. Since the actions of one
or two members can have a negative impact on the service for all
of our members, we have chosen to take an aggressive stance
against 'spam'.
(c.) Allied
Access, Inc. members who use any of our services to send
unsolicited e-mail are subject to immediate account cancellation,
and may, under existing law, be billed $.05/per message, or
$1000.00, whichever is greater. This charge is not negotiable and
will be applied retroactively if incontrovertable evidence of
Unsolicited Commercial or Bulk Mail is discovered. Allied Access,
Inc. may pursue any legal action necessary to collect this
payment.
(e.) Non-members
who use Allied Access, Inc. services to send e-mail may be
criminally prosecuted to the fullest extent possible. Theft of
service of this type is considered "Larceny by False
Pretense" and is a felony.
Suspension
or Termination of Services
Allied Access, Inc. Terms of
Service permits Allied Access, Inc. to suspend or terminate a
member's account at any time, without prior notification, and for
any reason. If a situation that is not covered in this Terms of
Service arises, Allied Access, Inc.reserves the right to act as
needed to protect our systems, data integrity, and professional
reputation. Examples of why access may be suspended or
terminated: if an account is sufficiently past due and considered
delinquent; if we believe there is an attempt to penetrate Allied
Access, Inc. system security; if an account is consuming
excessive system resources; if the account is 'spamming' mail
accounts or news servers.
Data Backup/Integrity
Allied Access, Inc. produces
periodic backup copies of all critical Allied Access, Inc. data.
This data can be used to restore our systems in case of a
catastrophic system failure, damage, or disaster. Allied Access,
Inc.does not provide back-up services for member data, including
web pages, co-located servers, or any other data or information
stored on Allied Access, Inc. servers including, but not limited
to, E-mail messages (read and unread) which may reside on Allied
Access, Inc. servers. The member is responsible for ensuring
proper back up of member data, and that plan should not include
Allied Access, Inc. involvement. Members are cautioned that if
they do not provide adequate back-up protection for their data,
Allied Access, Inc. does not guarantee data recovery in case of
damage or loss.
Equal Opportunity
Allied Access, Inc. offers
services without regard to race, color, religion, disability,
national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital or
veteran status, or any other protected status.

service constitutes agreement to adhere to these stated Terms of
Service. Allied Access, Inc. reserves the right to modify service
offering rates for service, Terms of Service, or any other policy
without advance notice.
